Mohit Suri’s ‘Ek Villain Returns’ starring John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria, which had opened to decent numbers at the box office on its first day, registered a drop on Wednesday.

The film collected Rs 2 crore nett on Wednesday, taking its total business so far to Rs 29.35 crore nett. It is expected to collect Rs 31 crore nett by the end of this week, a report in boxofficeIndia.com stated.

The drop has mainly come in Delhi and UP which had done well over the weekend and on Monday and Tuesday as well. The collections of the film in the Mumbai circuit are reportedly also around 8 crore nett over the first six days. On the contrary, ‘Ek Villain Returns’ continued its super strong run in the UK.

‘Ek Villain Returns’ is the sequel to the 2014 hit film, ‘Ek Villain’, which starred Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh in lead roles. The film received positive reviews from the audience and the critics alike.

Next week, the film will be locking horns with Aamir Khan’s ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Raksha Bandhan’.
