After Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi, names of TV actors like Chahatt Khanna and Nikki Tamboli have cropped up in the ongoing multi-crore extortion case involving conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar.

Sharing her reactions to all the speculations around her involvement, Chahatt told a news portal that it makes no sense right now. According to her, it is not the time when she should or she needs to clarify herself. The actress added that she will provide a justification when the time is right and what the media knows is just half of the whole story. Chahatt also added that if she opens up about it, the ‘whole Chinese whisper game’ will begin and hence, she prefers to stay quiet.

Elaborating further, she added that if people draw conclusions without hearing her side of the story, she can’t get bothered by it as according to her, they don’t know the reality. They can say or believe anything they want. They have all the right to do so. She added that right now, her family and she are just laughing reading all the reports ke kya hai aur kya nikal ke aa raha. When asked if she plans to hire a lawyer, the actress stated that she believes that doing so will just reinforce the negative perceptions people have about her. The speculation is ‘really twisted, Chahatt told Hindustan Times.

According to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) charge sheet, Nikki was given an amount Rs 3.5 lakh and a branded bag. Nikita, Chahat Khanna, Sophia Singh, and Arusha Patil met Sukesh while he was in jail. All of them had gone to Delhi’s Tihar Jail to meet him via his associate Pinky Irani, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has stated in its charge sheet, obtained by IndiaToday.in.
